ROOTS OF REGGAE

Reggae music originated from the heart in Jamaica in the late sixties. Its roots lie deeply in the sounds of traditional island genres like ska and rocksteady. Those earlier forms provided reggae its infectious groove, while incorporating elements with American R&B and Mento. Reggae became more than just a musical style; it grew a powerful channel
